"I bring to the table 32 years of education experience. I have served as a teacher at Wiley, an assistant principal at Southwest and as a principal at Kimberley Park, Gibson and Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy. I continue to serve our community through working with Crosby Scholars and making an impact on students across the district. As a future school board member, I will focus on our students' and staff's safety, improving community involvement, academics and respect for all."
Talking Points
Safety
To reach our long term goals for safety, we must build relationships with all stakeholders by taking the time to visit every school and to hear from those doing the daily work with our students.
Academics
We must continue the work of improving our math and reading scores, as well as our graduation rate. Additionally, we must find sustainability of our instructional resources and programs.
Community Involvement
Our work will take all of us within the community. We must work to connect with all groups within the community to support our schools.
Respect
In order to build a high quality school system, we must nurture relationships with all stakeholders.
